The architecture includes statues of Apollo and Minerva, signifying the arts and wisdom.

This work represents the Renaissance synthesis of classical knowledge and the concept of 'Prisca Theologia'—the idea that a lineage of ancient wisdom preceded and supported Christian truth. It visualizes the intellectual harmony between Platonic idealism and Aristotelian empiricism promoted by Neoplatonist circles.
