The saint is shown in three-quarter length, wearing a green tunic and a mauve mantle with a translucent veil draped over her head. She holds a small, gold-edged book against her chest, standing within a simple architectural niche typical of late Umbrian painting.

This figure is part of the lower register of the San Severo fresco, completed by Perugino in 1521 to finish the work begun by his former pupil Raphael. It represents the stylistic continuity and eventual divergence between the master of the Umbrian school and the emerging High Renaissance aesthetic.
