The Miracle of St. Eusebius of Cremona

The painting depicts Saint Eusebius bending over three prostrate figures, using a cloak as a holy relic to facilitate their resurrection. A group of witnesses on either side reacts with contemplation and prayerful awe against a minimalist landscape with thin, delicate trees. This panel originally formed part of the predella, or base, for Raphael’s early Mond Crucifixion.
