Numenius the Pythagorean

A 2nd-century Greek philosopher who synthesized Pythagorean and Platonic doctrines, significantly influencing the development of Neoplatonism. He is famous for his interest in Eastern wisdom and for describing Plato as a 'Moses speaking Attic Greek.'
