And for that very reason, we have had cause to write, so that we should not be forced to follow the traditions of the Gentiles; between whom and us there is such a vast difference in Religion. And to tell the truth, just as Aristotle's writings have much learning and cleverness, they also have very much obscurity. This has given some people the opportunity to search for—and imagine they see—those things which do not actually exist, etc.
