The Preface.

Having no other intention, then, but to contribute something on my own part that may be useful, if possible—or else to give others the opportunity through me to produce better works—I intended to publish original: "expose to the light" this Synopsis of Physics original: "Physicks", which was recently taught original: "dictated" in this school. I did this so that a public assessment original: "censure" could be made of this work as well as my previous one.
