We call the TEMPLE OF WISDOM Templum Sapientiæ: the author’s vision for a universal system of knowledge that mirrors the divine order of the universe a BOOK, in which all things that ever are, will be, or have been are offered for contemplation to Man, as a Creature made for the purpose of contemplating the Works of his Creator. This is done with that specific end in mind, and with means and order so disposed toward that end, that by the help of all these things he may be led and guided to Him—from Whom, through Whom, and in Whom all things exist original: "Ex quo, Per quem, & In quem ſunt omnia"; a citation of Romans 11:36—GOD, and to eternal HAPPINESS original: "Beatitudinem" in Him.
For this, finally, is what it means TO BE WISE original: "Sapere": to understand and provide for one's own final end (as God speaks in Deuteronomy 32:29): lest Man stray from his goal, Happiness, for the enjoyment of which he was created along with his Creator.
