For it is nothing other than a true and genuine transcript original: "apographum," a copy or direct reproduction of an original source. of those things which that one God has revealed thus far through His Works Nature, His Voice Holy Scripture, and the Notions impressed upon the mind of every human being. It shall be a true and common torch and guide for all of us toward the future life, and a true standard and directory for everything to be done in this life.
XII. That such a Book should be called PANSOPHIA meaning "Universal Wisdom" is suggested by its matter, form, efficient cause, and end. These are the four Aristotelian "causes" used in traditional philosophy to provide a complete explanation of what a thing is and why it exists.
XIII. For its matter shall be The All original Greek: "τὸ πᾶν" (to pan), meaning the totality of existence., the Universe as it is, which ought not to be unknown to a wise person.
