A circular emblem features a profile bust of Minerva, also known as Athena, wearing a crested helmet. Above her head is the Latin motto "Sapere aude," meaning "Dare to know." To the right, a circular seal contains the text: "Societas Alethophilorum ab Ern. Christophoro S.R.I. Com. de Manteuffel Instituta Berol MDCCXXXVI," which translates to "Society of the Lovers of Truth, established in Berlin, 1736, by Ernst Christoph, Count of the Holy Roman Empire, of Manteuffel."
