before I had tested his reign upon earth? He wanted to be a king and have the power in his own hands; he had influenced many of the angels to judge him fit to be a king and governor, and they joined with him until I cast them all out of heaven. Blasphemy soon burst from Satan and his angels against the Lord and the Son of God, in the same way that he came to you. Then I created man and gave Satan power as a god of this world, and fixed his reign at six thousand years, during which I labored; and one day is as a thousand years with the Lord, and I am the Lord who has spoken it: one thousand years of rest shall follow. I have said that my Spirit shall not always strive with man. I have been striving with man ever since the fall; I have felt for man; I have pitied man, knowing well what a powerful adversary and enemy he had to work with. But let men know I am their King, their Captain, and their Conqueror, to fight all their battles for them if they join with ME. For when I bring the tree of knowledge to everyone's view, they will see that the Lord is good, wondrous, and wise in all his ways; just and right in all his works. The same hand the woman's that plucked the evil fruit and brought it to the man will assuredly bring you to the knowledge of the good, so that you may not foolishly charge God for giving you the woman to complete your bliss. By her, it shall be completed, as I promised man at first; or else Satan must outwit ME, if she does not bruise his head.

And let the stars appear;
If twelve of them lie in the land
To judge the star that is here;
Then they shall see the mystery,
How it is all enrolled in heaven;
And I will unfold every mystery,
To them it shall be given.
