I will no longer hear the sinners' cry,
But free them from his power.
I will shame him then by means of sinful men,
As he caused their fall;
And prove that no heaven could be in him—
He has made a hell for everyone,
When he was king; and see his reign,
It must appear in man;
Therefore I did let go of his chain
To reign for six thousand years. Refers to the millenarian belief that the world would endure 6,000 years of conflict before the Sabbath of rest.
The one millennium you will see preserved for ME,
So that all may prove my reign;
And justice must agree in all points,
That he is justly defeated;
For justice must now appear here
To chain him down below;
Then I will clear the banished prisoners;
I know their time is up!

'So I will argue the case, while man is silent,
And all shall hear my sound;
I will cut the branches from the root,
And then I will bind the stump
In strong fetters, to burn alone,
Because his rage will swell;
To see his fall, condemned by all,
Will kindle flames in hell.
But let it be clear, no MAN is there,
Who trembles at my rod;
I mean to make the mystery clear:
And all shall find their God
Never designed for humankind
To be created for such woe,
As to die here, and lie in hell,
Bound in fetters below.
No, no; on that day, I say to man,
Satan will find he was cheated:
He will bring a strong army with him—
But here the meaning goes deep;
For when he comes with strong armies,
In hopes of winning the field,
He will find his men are such cowards then,
That every man will yield,
No more to rise against the laws of God
(Let men grow wise);
For when I punish their leader,
They will find my laws are good,
And all are just; let sinners trust;
For I shall show their end;
