4
And their king shall dwell down in hell,
Descending with his own army;
That is, to be clear, his angels who are here,
Whom he drove from heaven;
But man is mine; he must resign his rebellion;
For he shall be forgiven.
Then I will bring forth a glorious earth,
And place them here below;
But surely I have a paradise
Where all my saints shall go,
To enjoy in true perfection
A never-fading crown;
For then no one can destroy their peace,
A heaven is found for them.
But those below, they will find it so,
Things will greatly differ here;
A heaven will come to some on earth;
But anger will appear;
Concealed for a long time, some hearts will burn,
To see their murderers;
And conscience will burn, it will make some mourn,
And spoil their harmony.
So the sinners' state will not be complete
In the end,
Like those who seek my favors—
Everything you have written is deep:
But I will free man from misery;
Even if sorrows abound,
Because one cannot forgive the other,
Your grief will then be found.
"So I will end here, and say no more,
But weigh the matter deeply;
If you wish to share in happiness,
Keep your conscience clear now;
Do not give offense; for recompense
Will meet you on that day,
When I have made a heaven below,
And all my wonders are displayed:
Wonders will be, as you all will see,
When Satan is hurried down;
Such blasphemy will come from him,
And horror will shake the ground:
Thunder will roll from pole to pole,
And lightning will fly fast;
A more dreadful war than ever was before,
When he rebelled on high.
So wars began, and war will end,
And such a war it will be,
