The strange effects of faith. Fourth part

This is a folly I see in you;
But here is another mystery in it.
Now you always wait for my answer;
I say the mystery in that is great;
For just as the foaming came with the waters,
So will the turmoil be in every land;
For saints and sinners will not agree—
The dirty water appeared to you,
Lying below in the stream,
Making it foam when living waters flow;
So it will certainly be with the wicked;
They will foam with fury, and you will see the truth.

But this was the dream that I showed you at first,
And so in the end all my glory shall burst."

This was a dream from 1792. I had been powerfully attacked by the blasphemy of Satan, which made me earnest in prayer that the Lord would cut short the powers of darkness. I was answered—"I will show you, in dreams and visions of the night, what I will do with him." I was given the same answer when I was going to bed. I went to sleep, but seemed as full of life and sense as if I had been awake, when I heard the most heavenly music I ever heard in my life, louder than an organ but much sweeter. With this heavenly music, I saw my bedroom door burst open, and a man leading in a pig with its mouth tied around with a cord, and the man led it with a halter. Two men, or angels, I thought, stood at my bedside with heavenly music in their hands, while the other led the pig forward. It seemed to breathe threats against me, and smoke ascended from its nostrils. I thought I trembled in my bed and was earnest in prayer to God to save me from its power, as I thought in my dream it was the devil. As I prayed, it was led away, the heavenly music ceased, and all was silent. Some hours later, in the same night, I heard the same heavenly music a second time; and everything appeared before me as before, only I thought the pig seemed more
