But I, having inscribed the kindness of Pimander Pimander: From the Greek Poimandres, meaning "Shepherd of Men," representing the Divine Mind or Logos. in the inner recesses of my soul, and having obtained all that I had sought, rested in joy. For the sleep of the body had become sobriety; the closing of the eyes, a true vision; my silence, a fertile pregnancy of goodness; and the utterance of my speech, the birth of all good things. These things happened to me as I drew from the Mind—that is, from Pimander, the Word of divine power. Wherefore, being myself inspired by the divine spirit, I have been made a master of the truth. For which reason, with all the powers of my soul, I give thanks to God the Father.
Accept these sacrifices of words, flowing from a soul and heart devoted to You. O Ineffable One, who is to be praised by silence alone, and by him who has turned away from the deceits contrary to true knowledge original: "veræ cognitioni". Referring to Gnosis, the direct, experiential knowledge of the divine.. Grant this: strengthen me, and make those who dwell in ignorance partakers of this grace—those who are indeed my brothers in knowledge original: "cognitõe" [cognitione]. Those who share in the same spiritual understanding., but Your children. For indeed I place my faith in You; I bear witness of You; I rise up into Life and Light. You Yourself are the Father to be worshipped.
