The surface of this page consists of a single sheet of weathered, yellowish-brown parchmentanimal skin prepared for writing. The material is significantly distorted with deep wrinkles and dark stains, especially along the left edge. Small holes on the left side still contain fragments of the leather cords that once secured the pages together. A small, lighter-colored rectangular patch of material is affixed to the lower right-hand area, perhaps a later repair or a label that has since faded.
