Hisaias sub Cruce ("Isaiah under the Cross") is a pseudonym. In the 17th century, many alchemical authors and translators used pseudonyms to avoid persecution or to maintain an air of hermetic mystery.
Lazarus Zetzner (died 1616) was a famous Strasbourg printer known for publishing major alchemical collections, most notably the 'Theatrum Chemicum.'
