An elaborate engraved frontispiece features a central oval portrait of Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria. He is depicted with long, wavy hair, a mustache, and a pointed goatee. He wears an ornate lace collar and the insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended from a ribbon. The portrait is framed by a thick, lush laurel wreath. Above the portrait, two winged putti, or angels, are situated among clouds. One holds an oval shield topped with a crown, while the other blows a long heraldic trumpet. To the lower right of the wreath, a seated female figure, likely an allegory of Victory or Fame, holds several palm branches. The surrounding space is filled with military trophies. These include cannons, stacks of cannonballs, various flags and banners on poles, pieces of plate armor, a drum with sticks, and additional trumpets. At the bottom center, a large, draped banner contains the primary Latin inscription. Along the very bottom edge, outside the main artistic frame, are small lines of text identifying the artists and a binder's instruction.
