The front cover of the book is bound in dark green leather. It is decorated with an elaborate border pressed in gold leaf, featuring repeating patterns of birds, flowers, and vines. An inner border composed of small gilded circles frames the central area of the leather. In the upper left corner, a white paper inventory label has been attached.
