This title is a direct quote from the Smaragdine Tablet (Emerald Tablet), an ancient foundational text of alchemy attributed to Hermes Trismegistus.
The page contains three sets of musical notation for three distinct voices. Each voice is labeled in the left margin and consists of two staves of music with Latin text underneath. The notation uses traditional five-line staves with C-clefs and mensural notation symbols.
Atalanta, or the Fleeing voice.The embryo which is enclosed in the windy belly of Boreas original: "Boreæ." Boreas is the Greek personification of the North Wind., if once it shall have come forth alive into this light, it shall have come forth.
Hippomenes, or the Following voice.The embryo which is enclosed in the windy belly of Boreas, if once it shall have come forth alive into this light, it shall have come forth.
The Apple thrown, or the Delaying voice.The embryo which is enclosed in the windy belly of Boreas, if once it shall have come forth alive into this light.
The fruit in the belly of the wind, which still lives hidden,

Through art and strong power and the labor of its body;
