Wherefore Saturn is the first Planet in the order of the planets. Saturn rules the first hour of the day of the Sabbath original: Sabbathi; Saturday and of that entire first day. And Jupiter reigns over the second hour of the same day; Mars over the third hour; the Sun over the fourth hour; Venus over the fifth hour; Mercury over the sixth hour; the Moon over the seventh hour; and Saturn over the 8th hour. Of these rulers, Jupiter rules the 9th hour; Mars the 10th hour; the Sun the 11th hour; Venus the 12th hour; Mercury the 13th hour; the Moon the 14th hour; Saturn the 15th hour; Jupiter the 16th hour; Mars the 17th hour; the Sun the 18th hour; Venus the 19th hour; Mercury the 20th hour; the Moon the 21st hour; Saturn the 22nd hour; Jupiter the 23rd hour; and Mars the 24th hour.
The first [hour] of the following day belongs to the Sun Sunday, and so on for each of the individual hours and planets, for the hours of the day and night up to the 24thoriginal: 24am hour.
Similarly, Jupiter then reigns, ruling the first hour of its own day Thursday; then Mars rules the first hour of its own day, the day of Mars Tuesday; then the Sun rules the first hour of its own day Sunday.
