The manuscript is encased in a decorative cover featuring a pebbled texture morocco-grain: a finish designed to mimic the distinctive grain of goatskin leather. The ornamentation is minimalist, consisting of a simple double-line rectangular frame bordering the edges of the front cover. This border has been applied using blind stamping: a decorative technique where a design is impressed into the leather or cloth using a heated tool without the use of gold leaf or ink, creating a subtle, recessed pattern.
