We recognize this in the power and formation of this world, how the single Being original: "einige wesen," referring to the unified divine essence has revealed itself in a likeness through its birth-giving within desire. It has revealed itself in as many forms and shapes as we see and recognize in the stars and elements, as well as in the creatures, and even in the trees and herbs. Therefore, the greatest understanding lies in the Signature Signature: the outward physical marks or features of an object that reveal its hidden inner character or medicinal use, wherein man (as the image of the greatest virtue) not only learns to know himself, but he may also therein learn to recognize the Being of all Beings. For by the external formation of all creatures, by their drive and desire, and likewise by their outgoing sound, voice, and speech, one recognizes the hidden Spirit. For nature has given every thing its speech (according to its essence and formation); for from the essence originates the speech or the sound. From that same essence comes the quality of the essence: in the outgoing sound or power, the living quality is in the sound, and the essential quality is in the scent, power, and form.
