PHILOSOPHY.

First Section.

The true and sincere basis or unique Cornerstone of the Mosaic Philosophy—which is the fundamental reason and mystery of the Existence and Essence of all creatures—is taught, and confirmed by the living testimony of the sacred scriptures: while, on the other hand, those false and imaginary foundations of the philosophy of the Heathens original: "Ethnicorum" - referring to non-Christian or "Pagan" philosophers like Aristotle or Plato are exposed, overthrown, and reduced to nothing.

Proverbs 2:6 God gives wisdom, and from his mouth come prudence and knowledge. Proverbs 2:6.

1 Corinthians 3:19-20 The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; God knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 1 Corinthians 3:19–20.

1 Corinthians 2:12-13 We have received not the spirit of this world, but the spirit which is from God, so that we may know the things that have been given to us by God, which we also speak, not in the learned words of human wisdom, but in the teaching of the Spirit; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not perceive those things which are of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them. 1 Corinthians 2:12–13.

Colossians 2:8-9 In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; walk in him, rooted and built up in him and confirmed in the faith. See that no one deceives you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men and according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ; because in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:8–9.

1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise Architect original: "Architectus" - used here by Fludd to link the role of the apostle to the divine creation I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it; let each one see how he builds upon it. For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds upon this foundation with Gold, Silver, precious Stones, wood, hay, or stubble, the work of each shall be made manifest: for the Day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire, and the fire shall test what sort of work each is; if anyone’s work which he built survives, he shall receive a reward; if anyone’s work is burned, he shall suffer loss.

Israel deserted the oracle of God, which is the fountain of wisdom, to seek out art, science, and understanding among foreign nations and among the Heathens, who did not know true wisdom, just as did the children of Hagar Baruch 3. who were in Teman. Baruch 3.

Isaiah 47. Why, O Israel, has this knowledge of yours deceived you? Isaiah 47.

Hebrews 1:3. Psalm 118:22. Here exists the radiance of the Glory of God and the character of his substance, he who carries all things by the word of his power. This is the Cornerstone which the builders rejected, which is the head of the corner for every Creator likely "Creature" or "part of creation" intended here, though the text reads "Creatoris".

Job 38:4. This is from Jehovah, and it is wonderful in our eyes: upon this foundation the earth and its measure are situated. Colossians 1:13.

John 1. Finally, in this wisdom God made all things, and all things are and consist in it, and upon it; and without it, all things are nothing.
