...is his throne, looking upon those ascending and then descending again through those same steps from the place or seat of eternity, through that same everlasting original: æviale, referring to the realm of "Aevum," a state of being that exists between linear time and unchanging eternity medium into the temporal region. In a similar way, with the Prophet Ezekiel (and that through a more external vision), the true Philosopher can discern and conceive the mystery not only of the "wheel within a wheel"—that is, the everlasting essence within temporal existence—but even with a still more internal and mental gaze, that of the "Wheel in the midst of wheels," namely the central motor the primary driving force or "prime mover" and eternal spirit in the everlasting realm, by means of which the temporal or Corporeal creature is immediately quickened and moved. Relying on these sacred Scriptures, we are able to infer that God is essentially one and all, and that he fills all things:

And that he himself works all in all. That he gives life to all: And that his incorruptible spirit is in all things: And that by his word all things were made, and without him nothing: And that in the word was life, and that was the light of men. And that he himself gives life and inspiration and all things. And that in him we live, move, and have our being. And that he is the Father of all, who is over all and through all and in us all: And that from him, through him, and in him are all things. And that he sent his spirit and created all things. And that he gives breath to the people who are upon the earth and spirit to those walking upon it. And that he made all things in wisdom: and the earth is filled with his possession. And that when he gives to the creatures, they gather; when he opens his hand, all things shall be filled with goodness; when he hides his face, the creatures shall be troubled; but when he takes away their spirit, they shall fail and return to their dust; but when he sends forth his...

Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all were created through him and in him. And that he is before all, and that all things consist in him, etc. Observe, I pray, how the Apostle depicts the three aforementioned worlds to the life original: ad vivum, meaning vividly or with great accuracy in these few words.     I could produce almost infinite other passages from the treasury of the Holy Bible to confirm the universal acts and the wonderful and powerful operations which are continually performed by that most essential and eternal wisdom of God. This, as we have said, is that essential Basis or Cornerstone upon which pure and sincere philosophy is built.
