Ps. 18. 29.
Let the ancients commend Paeon and praise Machaon,
And thou, Epidaurus, boast of thy son of Phoebus.
We shall celebrate thee, ROBERT, in our own years,
Who bearest a name derived from the frozen WAVES.
Indeed, sustained by the ineffable strength of thy mind,
Thou describest whatever either world contains.
Thou art sweet in speech, and grave, O FLUDD, and at once
To be called the true Apollo of thy fatherland in the art of healing.
Though Paeon be girt with the Argive Daphne,
The Laurel which is given by Phoebus is entirely thine.
