The details connected with the fumigationThe practice of burning incense or herbs as part of a ritual or for purification. relating to these planets, to which reference is made on folio 37 b, and more particularly the form of the Prayer, are specially interesting. We read:
'Red sandal-wood for the Sun, aloe for the Moon, pepper for Mars, mastixMastic, a resin obtained from the mastic tree, often used in incense. for Mercury, saffron for Jupiter, costusAn aromatic root used in ancient perfumes and incense. for Venus, brimstone original: "sulfur" for Saturn. Thereafter the priest shall bless them, and the priest shall say this Prayer: O God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, put Thy blessing upon these perfumes, so as to enlarge the power of their fragrance and their efficacy, in order that no enemy shall be able to enter them, nor any other forms, in the Name of AdonaiA Hebrew name for God, typically translated as "Lord.", the Living God, and Ruler for generation upon generation. Amen!'
Among other interesting items we might note, that in the paragraph under the heading ‘Chapter on Theft’ (folio 70 b) there is the diagram of an eye on folio 71 a, surrounded on the upper side with the curious expressions Got Magot, which is the Old French spelling of Gog Magog Biblical and legendary figures often associated with apocalyptic enemies or giants..
The last two prescriptions in the present collection are as follows:
1. To see a light burning in the midst of the water, take a wax candle and write these names upon it; then cast it into the water. They are AIKA, AKVA, AKA, PTIYA.

Afterward, stand on your left leg and recite this conjuration three times: "I call upon you, the spirits appointed to cause men to dream, whose names are Shanshimon, Shan’un, Shangadiel, Sangadiel, Tampaltay, Vishstrom, and the Prince Armaniel El. And I also call to you, Ba'al Zevuv Beelzebub, or "Lord of the Flies.", Ron, Ruhi, Kivish, Bintivesh, and all your groups who are appointed over this. I call to all of you and I adjure you, I decree and establish over you by these seventy-two names A reference to the 72-letter name of God derived from Exodus 14:19-21. and by the name of two hundred and sixteen letters that emerge from the verses 'And he moved,' 'And he came,' and 'And he stretched out' The three verses of Exodus 14:19-21, each containing 72 letters. (and here one should mention all the names), that you shall go this night to original: "פב"פ"; a placeholder meaning "So-and-so, son of So-and-so." [the person's name], and stand over him, and terrify him, and make him dream, and show him my form. You shall say to him that he must be careful for his soul and do all my will—which is [state your request]—and if he does not do it, he shall die a strange death that very week. You shall make him swear in the dream that he will do so. And if he does not want to swear, you shall strike him and make him stand and terrify him until he swears to do so. And you shall make him dream all this night, dream after dream and a dream within a dream, until he desires completely and utterly to do my will.
