The Goal of the Wise

Concerning the maker of the first month and how it is now governed by its own lord

And from this, observe these three places: if they look upon each other by aspect In astrology, an "aspect" is a specific angular relationship between planets or points, such as a trine or square, the delay of the birth in the mother's womb will be for as many months as the birth-chart promises. If, however, they do not look upon each other, the delay of the birth shall be by months and the person shall live. Saturn

Saturn is the maker of the first month from the fall of the seeding. And if he is strong in the horoscope, both in his exaltation and in his term or in his own house The "house" or "domicile" is the zodiac sign a planet naturally rules; for Saturn, this is Capricorn or Aquarius, that seed is gentle and will gain many things; [though] losses from pain and sickness may harm it, yet that seed is raised to the upper parts of the belly. There is much water and the water is very beautiful and? it is in fear and? there is joy for many in her pregnancy. She thinks good thoughts and shows many people everything she has regarding that pregnancy; she is healthy in her whole body and of good spirit, being well-disposed. And regarding that which is in the belly—the water—it shows the likeness of that pregnancy to be good and? in fear on account of the finding of many sorrowful spirits and sickness and the changing of the body. They see a bite of blood in the hand of the pregnancy, and she regards it sorrowfully in the lower part of the belly, and the pregnancy is fit for all. And if [Saturn] is in the lowest point, she is happy for many reasons and the seed is healthy; she will have strength and health and increase in that pregnancy, and its color is beautiful, and she hungers for beauty and righteousness and an increase of beauty through itself in fear. Or if he is in his greater house, it is very gentle in the term of pregnancy, and she rejoices with many messages, though few [unclear] spirits are found; the pregnancy does not show itself with change, and there is a memory of the month and the day of the pregnancy, and the day of the pregnancy was the same as the day of the water. And if he is in a downward failing and in the lowest point for many, and is in his own house or in fear of breath for many, he will have distress in the term and joy for many in the water with her pregnancy. She will have anxiety and pain and it is not from benevolent friends; she trembles at her fall and will see bad dreams and unseen things, and that she fails and stays awake, and she spends the whole day thinking of death and fears the weight of prison because of it; it distends to the lower parts of the belly lest the water remain, and it never remains except at the hour of birth. And if in fear they have pain in the loins, hot and bloody, yet she is joyful and shows happiness. And if he is in the house or in the lowest point of the water, she is sick for many in a way that no one sees, and hot, and it is similar, but because of his [influence] it is strong. And if he is in the lowest point for many, a discovery with joy with the beginning of the water; and she would not wish to be pregnant, it is in the grain of the water and similar to the pregnancy. And if he is in the lowest point or in the water through fear, he envies many lest the seed be harmed, unless God comes with liberation.

Jupiter

Jupiter himself is the governor of the second month from conception in the mother, and the time within, and the honey and his own [influence]. And when he is in the 2nd month in his ascension and increase, he is the governor of the seeding for many, and by the simplicity of the water and by wisdom and intellect in the ascension and elevation of the water; he governs so that he may know and trust, and determines similarly. He gives to [the fetus] knowledge which it does not find, nor does the water tame the man. And if he is in this [state], his greatness is similar to zaor? Possibly a corrupted term for a specific star or Arabic astrological concept of two kings which fire does not know, and he will be able to have a root in himself and speak in his own land. And if he is in his own house, it signifies that the child born is wise in the books of faith; and if he is in the mountain of ascension, the child born is called and invoked to the faith and will teach many in his knowledge, especially when he is in the month. And if he is in the house of the term or in the fear of the water, the child born is a defender of these beings and will raise them to the mountains and to wars and to strength. And if he is in the house or in greater fear, he is a speaker and a preacher speaking beautifully, and he will make the hearts of men ache with his song or speech. And if he is in the house of the term or in greater fear when he is born, men will love things towards him and the wise will praise? with tongue and the will to speak.
