It is the star of Jupiter and Saturn, and that which remains from the term of Jupiter, and there come two which remain with Jupiter in the ascendant? according to the quantity of days where Saturn and Jupiter are joined. That defines what remained in the tenth of Saturn and Jupiter. Thus it is said that for the one born, they speak with a good tongue and are praised in the movement of the soul and heart. And when it is thus through Jupiter for the years and months from the birth, if Saturn and Jupiter provoke their rays upon that term, he will have for two years from his birth the same heat and pain from the heat of the hands, or strongly by blood or fire, according to the quantity of their Saturn and the aspects or destructions. And let it not be a sign in which time all Jupiter's conditions shall be made, and the rays shall provide for that term from Jupiter through the spirituality of the body... The Latin here is highly abbreviated and technical, referring to "profections" or the movement of planetary influence over specific years of life. and he who gives from good into evil by the motion of Jupiter when he operates in the term of Saturn, which I have divided and undivided in my measure to the term of Saturn from itself in Jupiter. And of Saturn it is said therefore that after 2 years and 10 months have passed, the life is fortunate and of good omen, and of a fortunate and good life, greatly adorned according to the providence and riches of Saturn. And Jupiter provokes his rays upon the lord of his places, whether in the 1st or 2nd year; whenever he aspects Saturn, he will have a nature of pain from [afflictions], and sometimes he will have pain in coldness or double and long fevers. Saturn makes evil or misfortune through the hours until the completion of the years and months with the disposition of Jupiter. Therefore, I found within both beauty and fitness of the body and joy in worldly things. And in the times of Saturn for 10 years, whatever the disposition of the fate of Jupiter may be, the one born shall first have much labor and old age, and shall have friendship with kings and with the wealth of riches and many [distances] and pains. And he shall have merit and an evil death which follows the disposition of Jupiter until the end. If Saturn then holds sway over that birth in labor and [distance], he shall invade him with fever and blood and malignancy of the body, and he shall not be fit for work and shall be very solitary. And if he has a wife or children, he shall grieve for them and proceed to a [failing] sign... until the end of the death of the one born.
Jupiter
Know that just as there are manners and nature according to the planets, Jupiter is a significator and has according to his sign a body abounding in [solstice] and insight; and he creates fear and puts evil in the heart, yet also mercy, healing, and sadness. Jupiter is usually "the Great Benefic," but here his influence is tempered by complex aspects.
Saturn
Likewise, he inspires law and faith, and his own humility, shame, truth, falsity, liberality, and likewise poverty, and a face that is clear and splendid.
Mars
Mars [is free] in the world, for he creates injustice, prodigality, foolishness, and strength without shame.
Sun
The Sun has strength, immobility, and probity; he has great power from God, and always has humility and lordship of the heart; he has [delight] and good manners, and is bold and of a strong nature.
Venus
Venus [loves] law and speech, and inspires the imagination; she has many true gestures and friendships and art, and is seen to be [gifted], and has books and [images].
Mercury
The Moon The scribe uses the symbol for Mercury in the margin but writes "Luna" (Moon) in the text; these two are often linked in medieval psychology as the "lower" changing powers. has the appearance of the months, and weakness, and purity, and [suspicions], and foul uncleanness, and commands. And whichever star of these is with his body, they shall be over the body and nature of the born, and his manners according to the quietude of both stars and their strength... and if one of the stars is in aspect, it will give to the born its signs according to its strength in the aspect of the sign... and if he is born with the nature of one planet which has [dominion], he will have the nature of that planet, such as shame, and through shame, fear... if he be as an orator, his speech would vary... and if he is unclean, there is fear that he will never [be clean] or be without shame... but those things which are [mutual] in their aspect, one renders his strength upon the other, and their manners act [together], and they shall be feared; for he who is made most humble, his liberality shall be observed, and the fidelity of his manners.
