The Faith in its universal and particular original: "singulari," referring to the specific or individual applications of the doctrine. form is presented first, so that it may be like a Face before the Work that follows; and like a Gate, through which entry into the Temple is made; and as a Summary, in which the individual things that follow are contained in their own way. It is called the Faith of the New Heaven and the New Church, because the Heaven where the Angels are, and the Church in which Men are, act as one, just like the Internal and External Swedenborg frequently uses the analogy of the "Internal" (the soul/mind) and the "External" (the body/action) to describe how spiritual and earthly realms interact. in a person; for this reason, the person of the Church—who is in the good of love from the truths of faith, and in the truths of faith from the good of love—is, regarding the interior parts of their mind, an Angel of heaven. Therefore, they also come into Heaven after death and there enjoy happiness according to the state of the union of those two. It must be known that in the New Heaven, which is being established by the Lord today, this Faith is its face, gate, and summary.

THE FAITH OF THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW CHURCH IN ITS UNIVERSAL FORM is this: That the Lord from eternity, Who is JEHOVAH, came into the World to subjugate the Hells original: "Inferna." Swedenborg views "Hell" as a plural collective of various spiritual regions of evil. and to glorify His Human; and that without Him no mortal could have been saved; and that those who believe in Him are saved.

It is called a "Universal form" because this is the Universal of faith Universal of faith: a core principle that must be present in every single specific detail of a belief system, and a Universal of faith is that which must be present in each and every part. It is a Universal of faith that God is One in Essence and Person, in Whom is the Divine Trinity, and that the Lord God the Savior Jesus Christ is He.
