Proclus on Platonic Theology, and other writings Proclus (412–485 AD) was a Greek philosopher who served as one of the last major heads of the Neoplatonic Academy in Athens. His work represents the final major synthesis of late classical philosophy.

Folio. Vellum Fine parchment made from the skin of young animals, prized for its durability and smooth surface. A folio is a large book format where the printing sheet is folded only once, resulting in two leaves or four pages.
This copy contains several marginal notes in a contemporary hand. Handwriting from the same period in which the book was printed, suggesting early use by a 16th-century scholar.
