This is a fifth blank flyleaf. In the tradition of early modern bookbinding, several empty sheets of paper were included at the beginning and end of a manuscript to protect the core text from dust, handling, and the acidity of the leather covers. The presence of so many blank leaves suggests that the owner or binder considered the internal contents to be of significant value.
