  • Uncreated, which is God himself, who by reason of his act of creation is called

  • Created, and it is either:
    • Primary, which is { Matter original: "Hyle", or the primordial substance of things, furthest removed from any composition, which according to some was not created. This is discussed in chapters 3, 4, 5. / Light, or the form that generally gives shape to things. Discussed in chapter 6. }
    • Secondary, which is divided into the nature of { Heat / Cold } — from which descends the nature of — { Moisture / Dryness } — discussed in chapter 7.
    • Tertiary, arising from the actions of the more fertile qualities, divided into four differences which are called "elements," namely { Fire, Air, Water, Earth } — from which the immense substance of the Macrocosm is forged. Discussed in chapter 9.
    • Quaternary, which is 그 immense Chaos composed of diverse natures in an unordered state. Discussed in chapter 10.
    • Ultimate, or extreme or proximate The most immediate physical origin, which is:
      • In animals { sperm }
      • In plants { seed }
      • In minerals { Sulfur / Quicksilver original: "Argentum vivum" }
