A circular allegorical copperplate engraving framed by an Ouroboros (a serpent devouring its own tail, symbolizing eternity). The central scene depicts a monumental tomb or altar within a classical temple setting. Atop the monument, a figure is being crowned by a winged angel while a skeletal figure representing Death looks on. The front of the monument features a relief with several figures. Flanking the base are two seated personifications: one on the left holding a book and one on the right. In the background, rows of columns define the space. At the base of the monument, a banner reads: "AT LAST THE GOOD CAUSE TRIUMPHS" original: "TANDEM BONA CAVSA TRIVMPHAT". Below the circular frame, the artist credits are inscribed: "J. Goeree del." (designed by) and "I. Baptist sculp." (engraved by). To the right of the illustration is a red circular stamp featuring a crown and the initials "PR".
