And he prayed and said, "My Lord and my God 1, do not abandon your people and your inheritance to walk in the error of their hearts, and do not deliver them into the hands of their enemies 2, the nations, so that they might not rule over them 3 and so that they might not enslave them 4 so as to take [offerings] for you. Let your mercy, O Lord, be lifted up over your people, and create for them a spirit of uprightness 5, and let not a spirit of Belial original: "በልብር" (Bälbir) - a corruption of Belial or Beliar, a name for a demonic figure representing lawlessness or the devil rule over them to accuse them before you and to turn them aside from every path of righteousness, so that they perish from before your face. For they are your people and your inheritance, whom you saved by your great power from the hand of Egypt. And create 6 in them a clean heart and a holy spirit, and let them not be ensnared by their sin from now and forever."
And the Lord said to Moses: "I know their rebelliousness and their thoughts, and the stiffness of their necks, and that they will not listen 7 until they acknowledge their sin and the sins of their fathers. And after this, they will return to me in all uprightness and with all their heart 8 and with all their soul. And I will circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart 9 of their offspring, and I will create in them a holy spirit and cleanse them so that they do not turn away from me from that day forever. And their souls will cleave to me and to all my commandments, and they will perform 10 my commandments, and I will be a Father to them and they shall be my children 11. And they shall all be called children of the living God, and every spirit and every angel 12 will know—and they will [know...]"
