...all, and He sanctified¹ all the peoples and nations so that they might observe it, except for Israel The descendants of Jacob, chosen as God’s special people alone. To him alone² did He give³ it so that he might eat and drink and observe it upon the earth. And the Creator of all things, who created this day, blessed it for a blessing, for holiness, and for glory above all days. This law and testimony was given to the children of Israel as an everlasting law for their generations.

And on the sixth day of the second Sabbath In this context, "Sabbath" refers to the second week of the world's existence, God Egzi'abher: the standard Ethiopic name for God, often meaning 'Lord of the Universe' brought⁴ by His word to him [Adam] all the wild animals, all the livestock⁵, all the birds, all that moves upon the earth, and all that moves in⁶ the water, each according to their kind and according to their likeness⁷.

[He brought] the wild animals and livestock on the first day; the birds on the second day; all that moves on the earth on the third day; and all that moves in the water on the fourth day. And Adam named them all with their respective names, and whatever he called them, that became their name.

And during those⁸ days, Adam saw all these—male and female—of every kind that is on the earth, but he himself was alone, and he found no⁹ companion to help him who was like himself.

And God¹⁰ said to us: "It is not good for the man to be alone; let us make for him a helper like himself."

And God¹¹ our Lord cast a deep sleep upon him, and he slept. And He took for the woman one bone from among his bones—this was the Phanorita Phanorita: a specific term used in the Ethiopic Book of Jubilees, likely derived from a Greek word for "visible," referring to a specific rib rib from among his bones—and He fashioned flesh in its place and built the woman¹².
