Honored Sir,

It has now been almost two years since I sent you information original: "Intelligence" concerning that remarkable meeting I had the good fortune to attend in Cuphophron’s famous arbor. In that message, I told you how much Philopolis enjoyed those conferences, and how deeply Hylobares was moved by his conversation with Philotheus. As a result, Hylobares became a firm convert to the belief in spiritual beings and in the precision of the Divine Providence that governs the world. Although the brief summaries original: "Hints" I gave then of the various daily discussions made you passionately desire to have the full details of those debates disceptations: formal debates or discussions shared with you—and to have all five days of conferences recorded, if possible, as five dialogues—yet, despite all the care and effort I could put into it, I could not fulfill your earnest request until now.
