1 — they might give rere? just as [was said] before. From this root, they say concerning that part: "the three parts of the wisdom of this world" original: "tres mundi p^t^es sapie hui^a^"; this refers to the title "Trismegistus" or Thrice-Great and all the matters which are in the world and [the spirits].
man This is why I say one principle has [three] parts, because it follows the division of the world, which the "Bird of Hermes" original: "auis p^l^is"; likely avis palladis or avis hermetis, a symbol for the volatile spirit says has three principal parts. These he calls the three parts of the wisdom of the whole world. as The first part is mundane mineral, vegetable, and animal; in these, the universal? is joined. Concerning these, the philosophers hold that they possess spirit and body, as well as the operation of the sun and moon Alchemical gold and silver. And thus it is said, "the three parts of wisdom belong to this man," because he says these three parts are joined in a single stone in every way. And therefore it is called a "precious stone," because it has the nature of the mundane, the vegetable, and the animal kingdoms. And it is one stone having [many] colors, because the second and all [parts] are said to be therein.
This was not a "dead" thing, for it is the very hand of the sun; and even if it was "dead"—as was said above—it was led through a cycle with the fixation? of blood until it was finished. This is evidently the fulfillment of the operation of the aforementioned things.
The first place: if you thus prepare the stone of the universe as I have said, and if you do not know where I said it, not so and the stone then the third [is like] the second. It is said to be filled by the three, as has been said concerning the operation of the stone and its nature. The second [nature] is hot, as said in the third part, and it refers all things into one. Only in this way is it a "Vegetable Stone," Vegetable StoneAn alchemical substance derived from organic matter (like wine or plants) rather than minerals, believed to have particular life-giving properties. through that which I speak. From the fruits of the books of the Lord, through the two metals where they are common, [it is] particularly the greatest. It is seen to become "The White" original: "Albu^m^"; the Albedo or whitening stage of the alchemical process and is celebrated.
After this was written in the year [14]20, it was said that much must be amended, which in truth was said in this manner: that the Vegetable Stone is three [in one] and he himself says he knows the second way of which I speak. He found it beyond himself, for after the melting of the multitude?, another was added to another by the mode of a part of the vapor of life. And with the first putrefaction, it had now come with the "fume of honey" original: "fumo melle"; likely a metaphor for a sweet-smelling or yellowish distillation located in the third part.
