Then also again make the body fixed over a gentle fire; it will be able to be dissolved, and when it has been dissolved, water should be added to it, as much as is possible, like a single body, and it is coagulated with a little alum a mineral salt used as a fixative for the red stone original: "lapide rubeus"; likely the "Red Elixir" or the final stage of the Philosopher's Stone.

But if with such a thing again, if or again the red is revived, let it be another thing over the gold [and] wine.
