Only thus should the gum original: "gumma"; likely a plant resin or a thick alchemical precipitate be dissolved with wine, but lest it lose its color, let it be enlivened again and dissolved conversely and strained through a cloth; and it immediately expels the pleasant original: "amibiles"; possibly a scribe's error for "amovibiles" (removable), but here referring to the movement of fluids humors and dries [them].
The poison / [is] full with every color; in no way [should it] penetrate again for up to a hundred days, and so forth. And if however it is seen by a very small fire, on the fifteenth day he applied bitter water to remove [it], and again WHITE [and] RED it should be corrected for a little while in water; it should be corrected, then again it will be possessed. that is, waterAnd the water so enlivened fixes all spirits [as] water, unless it only be dissolved in water of life aqua vite: literally "water of life," a term for concentrated distilled alcohol or brandy used as a powerful solvent just like the red [substance]. Then also again make the body fixed over a gentle fire; it will be able to be dissolved, and when it has been dissolved, water should be added to it, as much as is possible, like a single body, and it is coagulated with a little alum a mineral salt used as a fixative for the red stone original: "lapide rubeus"; likely the "Red Elixir" or the final stage of the Philosopher's Stone.
But if with such a thing again, if or again the red is revived, let it be another thing over the gold [and] wine. Wherefore through [this] it makes one certain thing [effective] over a thousand, which when joined with it, the body is seen everywhere, etc. It is effective and effective, and it will by no means fail in medicines when it is decently hidden.
Another [recipe] regarding the same [substance] by name. This herb is called the Herb of Love and affection. It is utilized, declared, and may it be made fruitful and [grant] victory in legal pleas.
