If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

I designate as the Papyrus of Oslo the important book of magic from the University Library of Oslo, which S. Eitrem has just published with an English translation, explanation, and photographic reproduction: Papyri Osloenses, fascicle I, Magical Papyri. With thirteen plates. Oslo 1925.
The remaining papyri of the corpus are not considered here; further literature used directly will be noted in its proper place. The complete bibliography of the magical papyri is provided in my report in the Archiv für Papyrusforschung Archive for Papyrology VIII. 1/2, 1926.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for several helpful suggestions to the Reverend Licentiate Adolf Jacoby, Court Preacher in Luxembourg.
Karlsruhe, Easter 1925.
Karl Preisendanz.
