By Antichrist, it is likely that the persecutors of the Church are meant. Furthermore, Protestants give this name to the Pope, while Catholics give it to all their enemies. Even Napoleon has been called the Antichrist.
The third treatise in the True and Memorable History of the Three Possessed Women of Flanders original: "Histoire Véritable et Mémorable des Trois Possédées de Flandre", written by Father Sebastien Michaelis, a Dominican friar, provides much information about the Antichrist through the testimony of exorcised demons.
“Conceived by a devil, he will be as malicious as a madman, possessing a level of wickedness never before seen on earth. The revelations of exorcised demons claim that the Antichrist was alive in 1613.
