The illustration on this folio depicts a stylized plant characteristic of the "pharmaceutical" or "herbal" sections of the manuscript. It features a central, straight green stem with alternate lanceolate (spear-shaped) green leaves. At the top and along the upper stem are several small flowers consisting of blue bases and red-tipped petals. The plant ends in a simple, brown, bifurcated (split) root system.
