Having received the path of true policy and wisdom as commanded by the lineage of great teachers beginning with the venerable Lord Srikantha,

and having attained perfect mastery in that very place where the Doctrine of Sovereign Non-dualism original: "Īśvarādvaitavāda"; the philosophical system asserting the identity of the individual soul and the Supreme Lord was formulated;

may this land of Kashmir—from which the fragrance of this teaching spread forth to delight people of all regions—

though unseen by some, bring joy to the virtuous, just as the pervasive scent of saffron original: "ghuṣṛṇa"; Kashmir was historically famous for its saffron production delights the senses. || 1 ||

Cross over the ocean of worldly existence original: "saṃsāra"; the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth with speed! Establish your

unwavering footstep in the Supreme Abode, which is overflowing with the joy of eternal light.

Contemplate the nectar of the realization of Non-dualism taught by Lord Shiva,

which grants an internal flood of immediate, shining, and right reasoning. || 2 ||
