This abstract artistic composition consists of torn, irregular pieces of vibrant red paper or thick pigment applied to a cream-colored background. The red fragments have jagged, fibrous edges. Several of the larger red shapes are decorated with scattered, shimmering flecks of gold leaf. The arrangement is non-linear and expressive, resembling a modern collage or ink-blot pattern. Two faint rectangular institutional stamps are visible on the page. The use of red and gold is significant in Crowley's system of Magick, often representing the colors of the Sun, fire, or specific spiritual energies.
