THE Temple represents the external Universe. The Magician must accept it as he finds it, so that it has no particular shape; yet we find written: “Your will has made us a Temple of stones in the shape of the Universe, just as men perceive it openly and I perceive it hidden.” original: "Their WILL hath made us... such as men think near openly and I concealed." This is a reference to the holy books of Thelema, specifically Liber VII. This shape is the path of Venus original: Venus-Track; likely a reference to the Vesica Piscis, a sacred geometric symbol shaped like an almond or a lens, formed by the intersection of two circles; but it is only the greatest of the Magicians who can fashion the Temple in this way. There may, however, be some choice of rooms; this refers to the power of the Magician to be reborn reincarnate into a suitable body.
