original: Sidereus Nuncius. While often translated as "The Starry Messenger," the title can also imply a "Message from the Stars." This was the first published scientific work based on observations made through a telescope.
Sidereal: Relating to the stars or constellations; derived from the Latin word "sidus" meaning a star or heavenly body.
