An elaborate engraved title-page vignette within a scrollwork cartouche. In the center, a palm tree grows in a landscape; a weight is attached to its trunk by a rope through a pulley, attempting to pull it down, yet the tree continues to grow upward. Above the tree, a banner reads "ABOVE ENVY" original: "Supra Invidiam". To the left of the central oval is a pedestal with an astronomical globe and instruments; to the right is a pedestal with a smoking vessel. The engraving is signed at the bottom left "Delamonce del." and at the bottom right "Baudet Sculp."
