This part of logic, which contains the doctrine of the concept German: "Begriff"; a central term in this philosophy referring to the self-determining essence of thought and constitutes the third part of the whole, is also being issued under the specific title: System of Subjective Logic. This is for the convenience of those friends of this science who are accustomed to taking a greater interest in the matters treated here—which fall within the scope of what is commonly called logic—than in the further logical subjects treated in the first two parts. — For those earlier parts, I could claim the indulgence of fair-minded critics because of the few preliminary works available to me, which might have provided a foothold, materials, and a thread of progress The author is noting the lack of existing philosophical precedents for his earlier work on "Objective Logic."
