The learned, however, easily judged that such a major original: "capital" Fault as that could not come from a true Philosopher, who otherwise demonstrates sufficiently that he perfectly understood the Magistery In alchemy, the "Magistery" refers to the mastery of the process required to create the Philosopher's Stone or achieve the "Great Work.". But there was a need for a dedicated, learned Man to discover the Truth—one who was as capable as the previously mentioned individual to conduct such an extensive search to find the Original of this Work; without which it was impossible to restore the true Meaning original: "Sense" of it.
The place just mentioned was not the only one that needed to be amended. If one takes the Trouble original: "Pains" to compare this new Translation with the former, there will appear a very great Difference, and many significant original: "material" Corrections.
