The appendices added in this volume from page 293 illustrate certain details given in the text. Of these the <term>Svaraprastāras<note>Permutations and combinations of musical notes</note></term> from page 297 and the next one on p. 394 are given at the end of the whole work in the <note>The Anandasrama Sanskrit Series is a famous collection of Indian texts published in Pune.</note>Anandasrama edition; since the matter relates to the first <term>adhyāya<note>chapter</note></term>, it is given at the end of this volume containing the <term>adhyāya</term>. It is hoped that these and the other appendices which were prepared by Pandit Subrahmanya Sastri, and the index of half verses will be of help to the readers in making use of the book.
