MAy it be manifest to all who see this present document: that to Father Friar Juan Bermudo of the Order of Friars Minor of the Regular Observance A branch of the Franciscan Order known for a stricter adherence to the rule of St. Francis was granted a royal privilege for certain books of Music for a period of six years: during which time no one may print them, nor sell them in the kingdoms and lordships of His Majesty: under penalty that the books which are printed or sold without his license shall be forfeited, as is more extensively contained in the privilege.
